About Sourdough School
Hello! We are Jan and Alla from Amsterdam, where we are successfully running an artisanal sourdough bread bakery. We use the method of long-term sourdough fermentation to make our bread. We have customers ranging from a Michelin-rated restaurant to a biological supermarket.
Based on our experience and continuous experimentation, we have created our masterclass.
This masterclass is hands-on and will take you through a step-by-step process of making artisanal old-style sourdough bread. Also, the necessary theory, instructions, videos and explanations accompany it. At the end of our masterclass, you will have acquired sufficient knowledge, skills, and experience to make delicious sourdough bread using different types flour.

I’m a complete beginner. Is this sourdough bread-making course for me?
Yes. To participate in our masterclass, you can have little or no experience working with sourdough. At the end of our masterclass, you can make sourdough bread on your own.
How many people are in one class?
We have a maximum capacity of eight people per sourdough bread making class. If you sign up for yourself or more friends, we will add you to a class to fill out the remaining spots.
Do I need to bring kitchen appliances or tools to the masterclass?
No, you don’t need to bring any tools or appliances. We will provide all the necessary appliances for the masterclass. At the end of our masterclass, you will know what you need to make sourdough bread.
Can we do a masterclass in our kitchen?
We could give our masterclass in your home kitchen, starting with a minimum of four people. Contact us to arrange this.
Can I join only one day of the two-day masterclass?
No, the masterclass is designed to teach you all the skills you need in two days. We will ensure you have sufficient skills to bake good sourdough bread at the end of the two days.
